When Trees Lose Their Leaves
this is what they miss
when movies are made
this is where sad songs come from
you hold me close
to the many aspects of your heart
and when you see me it grows
like water to the greens
then you leave
no one talks about
the pain trees feel
when their leaves wilt to the ground
and it is not mentioned
how their sap-filled tears
are spent in the Fall
