some animals, many
(if you stay awake)
live their life out
(you stay alive)
to breed, multiply
and then leave this world

I have left my mark
and tho my regrets
are so many
if death came close
to my porch, for me
I would let myself go

they say when one
is so close to death
they can fight and
remain on this earth
or they can give up
and pass on to
the next life

and I would rather
move on to the Spirit world
